Zambia: The President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), Andrew Kamanga, congratulated the Copper Queens on qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The team will represent Zambia in the Summer Olympic Games being hosted in France.

The team won the final match of the qualifying round against Morocco with a single-goal lead as the match ended at 3-2. The team had been constantly performing well in the qualifier rounds for the Olympics.

The Football Association’s administration expects the female team’s good performance to continue well into the Olympic Games. The President of the FAZ is proud of the Copper Queens for their remarkable performance during the Olympic qualifiers.

The team has been working extremely hard to make it into the playing teams of the Paris Olympics. The success of the women’s team also suggests that the Football Association is succeeding in their aim to promote women in sports.

He has hailed the unrelenting spirit of the Copper Queens. In the first half of the match, the team scored a single goal. On the other hand, the opponents had 2 goals to their credit. However, the team managed to gain a lead in the second half.

President Andrew Kamanga assures that FAZ will make sure the team is adequately prepared for the Olympics that kick off in July.

Copper Queens Goalkeeper Ngambo Musole, who was one of the three changes Coach Bruce Mwape made from the team that lost at home, shut out various goal attempts that the opposition was shooting at her.
