Botswana: Ipelegeng Trust is organizing the Hika la Ngwanyana Cultural Festival at Moshupa Dam. The event will be hosted from 6am till late into the night on April 20.
The event will be officiated by the President of the Republic of Botswana Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi. The President of the country is extremely happy with the pace of the preparations for the event.
He toured the venue of the event three days before the event is scheduled to be hosted. At the Mosshupa Dam, he expressed his appreciation for the structural advancements in preparation for the festivities. President Masisi’s visit to the venue is a proof of the significance that the cultural event holds within the country.
Hika la Ngwanyana Cultural Festival is an initiative taken up by the Ipelego Trust, a community – based trust in Moshupa Village. The aim of the organization is to collaborate with the community to improve and contribute to their economic wellbeing.
The event is being hosted with the aim of bringing the people of the country together for a fun and engaging evening. The event will feature a number of interesting activities, including:

The attendants of the event will have free entry at the venue of the event. The event is extremely significant for the members of the host community as it highlights several aspects of their culture and traditions.
The President of Botswana urged all the people of the country to participate in the cultural event. President Masisi talked extensively about the unique nature of the festival.
He stressed that the transformation of the dam into a community conservation park and a hub for tourism reflects the government’s commitment to fostering a mindset change. The event promises to be a celebration of Botswana’s rich cultural heritage.
