Zambia: The police force has received reports of a murder in the Apollo Military camp. The victim has been identified as a resident of the Military Camp.
The officials have shared that the deceased is a civilian employee at the camp. The details of the incident were reported to the police by the son of the deceased.
The police force has identified the victim as Winston Mulenga Kabaso. The officials have also arrested the wife of the deceased in relation to the suspected murder.
The wife of the deceased has been identified as Agness Mulebi.
The investigation into the matter has already started. Meanwhile, the son of the deceased informed the police officers that his parents were fighting before the death of the father.
The 9-year-old described the fight as a violent altercation. The police officers revealed that Martin Daka had reported the incident to Marcopolo Police Post.
The 50-year-old is a Zambia Army Provost Officer who also lives in Apollo Military Camp. The Army Provost Officer noted that Staff Sergeant Chipili Musonda found the body of the deceased.
Afterwards, he told the Army provost, which in turn allowed him to report the incident.
According to the police reports, the deceased had several injuries on his body. These include a cut on the right side of the face, a depressed forehead, and swelling on the back of the head,
Further, the police officers have claimed that the circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear. However, investigation has revealed that the body was moved from the original location of the murder.
The blood stains from the scene of the crime led back into the victim’s house, suggesting that the victim had been dragged there. The Police officers have also found blood stains on the passage door frame, the kitchen door mat, and the pounding stick.
Police Public Relations Officer, Rae Hamoonga talked to the media regarding the incident. The people of the country have extended their deep condolences on the sad death.
