Cape Town: Bo-Kaap Market is launching on Tuesday, Sept 30, 2025. The City of Cape Town will observe the event from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily at the corner of Pentz Street and Yusuf Drive.
The event is calling all local traders, vendors and makers to the newly constructed Bo-Kaap Market. It is a vibrant space designed to support local entrepreneurs and showcase locally produced goods. Capetonians are ready to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Bo-Kaap community.
The organisers have asked traders to participate. Local Bo-Kaap based traders are being invited to submit applications and use the Application form link to participate in the market.
Notably, priority will be given to small-scale businesses who are selling crafts, fresh produce, food items, and other locally made products. It is a unique opportunity for residents, visitors and tourists while contributing to the growth of the Bo-Kaap economy.
Limited spaces are available and early submission of applications is strongly encouraged. Interested traders are invited to submit their forms by Sept 12, 2025. Alternatively, application forma can be collected and submitted personally at the Area Economic Development Offices, Cape Town CBD.
Considering this, Alderman James Vos, MMC for Economic Growth and Tourism stated that they are pleased to announce that no cost will be charged to trade during the initial launch of the Bo-Kaap Market.
The launch aims to support traders as they establish themselves in the Market. Traders will be fully educated on important details during the interview and onboard process to ensure transparency and preparedness.
