The Botswana Government in partnership with Nation Media Group from Kenya, will on December 6-9, 2023 host the 5th edition of Kusi Ideas Festival and conference in Gaborone, Botswana. The event will be hosted under the theme “Africa’s Agenda 2063: Making the Dream Come True”
Kusi Ideas Festival provides Botswana with an opportunity to showcase its success story to a wider audience as one of Africa’s most stable countries. The festival will mobilise intellectuals, creatives, and travellers across Africa to focus on Botswana’s achievements, which can inspire other countries on their journey towards corruption-free, economically successful and democratic societies.
It is against this background that the Government of Botswana cordially invites interested local companies to register to showcase their products and services at the #PushaBW Marketplace during the upcoming Kusi Ideas Festival.
The aim of the marketplace is to showcase the various products that Botswana has to offer to international delegates and participants. Visitors to the marketplace will have the opportunity to experience Botswana-made products firsthand and immerse themselves in Botswana’s culture through food, games and music.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Note that due to limited space, only 40 companies will be selected. Assessment and consideration will be made for companies that meet the below criteria:
- Pridemark registered companies
- Product Quality
- Product branding
- Packaging-look, and quality
- Readily available stock for sale
- Must have digital sales service (POS machine)
- Existing product marketing efforts including social media marketing.
Interested companies/local producers should note that transport, meals and accommodation for participants will be at own cost.
All submissions should include the following:
- Company profile
- Contact person and their contact details
- Product(s) sample
- Motivation on why the company should be selected and marketing tactics to be employed to drive sales (written motivation or short video).
- High resolution logo/company product logo
All submissions are to be packed in a sealed envelope or relevant sealed packaging with the subject: EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO SHOWCASE AT THE #PUSHABW MARKETPLACE
