Botswana: The Botswana Police Service has opened a new police post in Dimajwe. The opening ceremony for the Police Post was hosted on Thursday.
The officials have shared that the members of the community were welcomed into the facility on the opening day. The Mothusa Kgosi wa Bangwato, Kgosi Serogola Seretse officiated at the ceremony
She spoke of the significance of the opening of the police post for the comunity. The officials have shared that it is important for the members of the community to feel safe.
The opening of the new police post will help the members of the community in ensuring that they are safe and secure. The people of the country can also continue to remain better in touch with the Botswana Botswana Police Service with the new post.
Kgosi Serogola Seretse said that the post will help the community in attaining peace of mind. He also hoped that the post will help reduce the number of crimes and fear in the community.
The Kgosi Serogola Seretse appreciated the government for supporting the opening of the programme. The new police post will help in increasing the capacity of the country.

Additionally, Kgosi Serogola Seretse asked the people of the community to embrace the Mindset Change Initiative. The initiative will help in ensuring that Botswana goes from a upper middle income to high income country.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Katlholo Mosimanegape shared that the establishment of the Police Post will help in maintaining peace and security within the community. The acknowledged that the community’s crime stats are comparatively manageable.
However, issues like stock theft, assaults and Gender-Based Violence continue to be a cause of concern. The officials have shared that it is important for the community to make efforts to promote peace and security within the community.
