Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) is organizing capacity-building workshops for the hospitality sector. The workshops will help the hospitality sector to come together and learn from the tourism experts.
The workshops are starting November 18 and will be concluding on November 25, 2024. The workshop was hosted in Ghanzi. Botswana Tourism Organization also invited local stakeholders to be a part of the week-long event.
The workshops are being facilitated for the benefit of people who are inexperienced in the laws and rules governing the sector. The team has shared some images from the first day of the workshops on November 18.
The Botswana Tourism Service also promised to continue working for the development of the hospitality sector.
The workshops aim to highlight the importance of compliance with established quality and service standards. The members of the Hospitality sector are highly important for the overall increase in the tourism footfall.
The workshop wants to make the members of the sector aware about the rules and regulations in hospitality. Further, the workshop also wants to increase the competitive capacity of Destination Botswana in comparison to other tourism destinations around the continent.
The Tourism Stakeholders of Botswana have visited many nations and tourism get togethers to promote their offerings.
The workshop will serve as a platform for the participants to share their views, experiences and practices with each other. The stakeholders involved in this project include the Ghanzi District Council (Physical Planning Department), the Local Entrepreneurship Authority (LEA), and CEDA.
These stakeholders play a very important role in tourism development in Botswana, They will be sharing their knowledge and experiences at the workshop with the participants. Tourism operators will have access to many valuable tools to bring about positive changes in their businesses
The tourism operators and stakeholders of the hospitality sector from all over Botswana are invited to the workshop from November 18 to 25 They will have opportunity to gather valuable insights about the workings, developments and future of the sector in Botswana
