Cape Town: The City is organising the ‘Lekker Cape Town Carnival’ which is going to be held on Saturday, Mar 16, 2024. The annual carnival is going to be held at The Fanwalk, Green Point Cape Town which will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The special thing about this year’s event is that entry will be completely free and no cost will be charged for the tickets or to watch the Parade. The Cape Town Carnival follows the purpose to ‘Ignite Joy and Unity through Creativity’.
Announcing about the carnival the Cape Town Carnival’s official social media handle on Facebook wrote, “Let’s Get Lekker Playful!”
The organisers also shared a quote by the Director of Play Therapy – Charles E Schaefer ‘We are never more fully alive or more completely ourselves or more deeply engrossed in anything than when we are playing.’
They added that no matter your age or background, everybody enjoys moments of light-hearted and playful energy. Sometimes, the best way to truly be ourselves is through the act of letting your hair down and embracing that sense of playfulness.
“We love that we get the chance to be playful together at the Cape Town Carnival! That we get to see wacky and wild costumes and floats, that we get to see performers and the audience beaming with joy and that we get to see the street transformed with color and imagination!” said the organizers.
The Cape Town Carnival invites everyone including, friends and family. The Food Vendors and Food Trucks will be on site at the Carnival Villages.
