Cape Town: The all new 47th edition of Cape Town Cycle Tour will be observed on Sunday, March 09, 2025 that will attract thousands of cyclists to experience the stunning sights of Cape Town.
Entries for the event are open now and invites all the participants to join one of between the 109 km classic route, the 42 km route or the newly introduced Prelude Challenge.
The Cape Town Cycle Tour is renowned for its world-class event organisation. Enthusiastic spectators are the great support behind the event.
Cape Town Cycle Tour is worthy to be experienced as the celebration of cycling is a great tribute to the natural beaty of Cape Town said an official delegate David Bellairs from the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust.
Bellairs asked all to be a part of an unforgettable experience and have an amazing start of year 2025. It doesn’t matter whether the one is a seasoned cyclist, a first-time participant or just there for the scenery and snacks.
Cape Town Cycle Tour is introducing the 2025 Prelude Challenge and is committed to remain inclusive and community oriented. This is for the first time that Cape Town Cycle Tour Prelude Challenge offers cyclists a worldwide chance to earn 2025 Cycle Tour Medal and official finisher’s credit, even if the participants can’t ride on Race Day.
The event will run from Saturday, February 22, 2025 to Sunday, March 02, 2025. The participants can complete the 109 km route anywhere in the world. They can cycle the full distance within seven hours and will upload their results to STRAVA.
David Bellairs shared further about the event and expressed that they are incredibly excited to offer the loyal base of participants which is an alternative for 2025 edition and future ones. He added, “Although we continue to welcome the international friends for the Cape Town Cycle Tour, we know that travelling to South Africa is not always feasible.”
According to Bellairs the Prelude Challenge provides the perfect opportunity for cyclists to continue their journey and add to their finish numbers, no matter where they are. Whether it is on a stationary bike, the route will be of participant’s choice only and the laps will also be recorded around their neighbourhood, considering the ride of 109 km and then will upload it to STRAVA.
