Cape Town is loading fun as it will soon observe the Grassy Park Festive Market. Mark the dates on your calendar, as the Festive Market is returning this week on Friday, Dec 12 and Sat, Dec 13.
Reportedly, the event will be hosted by the Economic Growth Directorate of the City of Cape Town and is endorsed by the Ward Councillor Donovan Nelson of Ward-65. The Grassy Park Festive Market will be building on the popular community markets, that will be held across the city.
Grassy Park Festive Market will be celebrated at the Grassy Park Civic Centre in Market Street, on Fri Dec 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Sat, Dec 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The festive will also involve the vendors that have been carefully curated and will offer a variety of foods, gifts, crafts and toys. It will be completely a packed entertainment programme and along with the space specially dedicated to children’s play area.
Considering this, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Economic Growth – Alderman James Vos said that the Grassy Park Festive Market is one of the several community festivals and markets across the Cape Town that showcase the talent of Cape Town, be it the crafters, the caterers, the designers and the performers.
Vos hope that the residents can come out in numbers to support these small businesses and artists.
He further stated that the market is the perfect family-friendly time to get into the holiday spirit and support local small businesses. As a member of the City of Cape Town, they hosted these markets to give vendors a platform to showcase their products and create valuable economic opportunities.
In addition to the typical Capetonian charm, the quality of the Grassy Park Festive Market depends on its high standard offered by its vendors. As such, the following vendors are invited to apply:

The event will also include activities like carnival games or challenges. Notably, the space is limited, and stalls will be granted to those who meet the selection criteria.
