Cape Town: The City is calling Cape Town based small, micro and medium-sized enterprises (SMMEs) and aspiring entrepreneurs to join the Economic Growth Directorate’s lunchtime business that offers session to find out that the City of Cape Town can help their businesses grow.
The Lunchtime Livestream online session aims to educate and inform entrepreneurs, small businesses and SMMEs on the services, as the City of Cape Town provides. This is how they can help them in getting benefit from using these services and how they can access these services.
Reportedly, the Lunchtime Livestream with Economic Growth session will be hosted online via Teams App and the YouTube Page of the city on Thursday, August 28, 2025. The objective of the meeting is to put SMMEs in touch with the relevant officials or platforms for their business needs.
The Business Hub or tangible steps towards growing your business, whether its training, the session will assist to bridge the gaps and provide a way forward.
The session must be attended, as you will gain insight into the Economic Growth Directorate’s service and business offerings. At the session you will equip yourself for smart, sustainable expansion. There you will get hands-on tailored resources and tools which are designed to help you scale up strategically and focus on genuine customer needs, rather than arbitrary upgrades.

This information sharing session will provide insights into the support offered by the Business Hub, along with the investment incentives programme, various enterprise, supplier and skills development programmes, etc.
Considering this, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Economic Growth and Tourism – Alderman James Vos said that this initiative was born from the drive to ensure every entrepreneur, whether they are just starting or already running a small business, that has direct access to the tools, with opportunities and networks to help them succeed.
He said that oftenly, these services feel out of reach. The mission is to make the Economic Growth of the City of Cape Town offer truly accessible and inclusive, practical support for SMMEs to create jobs, drive innovation and grow economy of Cape Town.
