Cape Town: The city is preparing for one of its most anticipated events of the year, as the Cape Town Pride Parade and Mardi Gras 2025 promises to light up the city on Saturday, March 01, 2025. It is known for its spectacular blend of vibrant celebrations, diversity and inclusivity.
Reportedly, Pride festival of this year is set to be the largest that the city Cape Town has ever seen. It has attracted LGBTQIA+ communities and allies from across the globe.
Gathering For Equality
The City of Cape Town has organised the 2025 Cape Town Pride Parade with a theme of ‘Rainbow ID’ which will unite Africa’s rainbow community that showcase the diversity of the city and the people who call it home.

Organisers have made sure that the event will be a standout moment which will be joined by the local LGBTQIA+ individuals that are for international visitors who are eager to join the revelry.
As per the sources, from Feb 06, 2025 the Pride Festival will kick off with a series of exciting events that are leading up to the main parade. More details on the events will be released soon as one highlight has already confirmed Mr & Miss Cape Town Pride Pageant scheduled for Feb 08, 2025 at the Joseph Stone Auditorium in Athlone. The glamorous event is set to celebrate some of the brightest stars in Cape Town’s LGBTQIA+ community.
Memorable Parade
The streets of Cape Town will come alive on March 01, 2025 with colours as the Pride March takes the center stage. As always, participation in March 2025 event will be completely free and will encourage the people of all backgrounds to come together and express their support for equality, love and respect.
However, the parade will wind its way through the city and will culminate in highly anticipated Mardi Gras celebration at the Green Point Track.

Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras is a vibrant event including music, food and fun for all. It is a great celebration where festivities truly come alive. For the ones who are looking to immerse themselves in a full day of entertainment, live performances, DJs and fabulous dancing place to be.
The Pride Village Market will feature a range of LGBTQIA+ merchandise, food stalls, bars and refreshment stations which ensures that there is something for everyone to enjoy. For families, there will be a designated children’s area as well as chilled out spaces for those who want to relax and soak up the atmosphere.
The event is family-friendly but with a few important restrictions where no pets, cooler boxes, tents or shisha pipes will be allowed on the premises.

The VIP area promises luxury and comfort for the ones who are looking to elevate their experience. VIP space has been relocated to a marquee directly in front of the main stage this year, that offers unparalleled views of the performances.
