Reportedly, the libraries have launched a suite of brand-new digital services, which includes registration for membership online. The patrons can pop their local library to collect their cards, after registering for it, and can unlock physical and digital collections.
Additionally, the e-books collections are now integrated. This included OverDrive and Project Gutenberg, to offer avid readers a myriad of books to download and enjoy reading.

Considering this, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Community Services and Health – Councillor Francine Higham said that the innovations have made the library resources more accessible than ever. This has opened a whole new world of reading to discover.
According to Higham, the new digital services means that they can search for the extended catalogues for their next read or favourite authors. Access to eBooks allows you to carry a library on a single device; you don’t have to worry about returning the book within a specified time and you can read at your leisure.
EBooks also offer instant access to new titles, and you’re free to checkout several books, without any limitations. This help readers in staying awake and updated. The platforms also feature customisable news feeds which are showcasing the latest additions to the library.
The users or keen readers can browse items added in the past three months or explore trending titles from the New York Times Bestsellers list. While some bestsellers may not yet be available in the collection, the list offers a great way to discover what is popular or what is trending.
