South Sudan, Juba: Governor Lt Gen Cde. Dr Joseph Manytuil Wejang, on Saturday, attended Thanksgiving Event organized by Bul Community Association in Juba, which aims to express their gratitude and appreciation to Cde. Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit, SPLM Chairman and President of the Republic, for appointing Cde. Tut Gatluak Manimee, a Member of SPLM Political Bureau.
The Thanksgiving ceremony was attended by SPLM members of the Political Bureau, National Liberation Council and SPLM States Chairpersons, including SPLM Deputies Chairman Cde. Daniel Wet Akot, Cde.Kuol Manyang Juk and SPLM Acting Secretary General Cde Akol Paul Kordit as well diverse communities of South Sudan and Unity State.
Addressing thousands of people gathered at Freedom Hall, Governor, Lt Gen Cde. Dr Joseph Manytuil Wejang said the people of Unity State and Mayom County, in particular, converged together to celebrate and give special appreciation to Cde. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit for appointing Cde Tut Gatluak Manime as a member of the SPLM Political Bureau.
Furthermore, Cde Manytuil declared publicly that the people of Unity State have agreed to rally behind the leadership of Cde Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit and subsequently endorsed him as Flag Bearer of SPLM in the upcoming general election 2025.
Comrade Manytuil applauded Cde Tut Gatluak Manime for his extraordinary commitment and loyalty to SPLM Leadership under Cde. Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit.
He stressed the commitment and loyalty to our President, Cde. Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit is vital to our party’s progress and the Country as a whole.
Cde Manytuil pointed out that our veterans who fought tirelessly to liberate us from all forms of marginalization must remain as beacons of our freedom toward building a peaceful and prosperous South Sudan. Our veterans in Person of Cde. Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit, Cde. Daniel Wet Akot, Cde Kuol, Cde Kuol Manyang Juk and many others deserve our devoted respect while they are still in our midst.
Comrade Manytuil further called upon the people of South Sudan to exhibit the spirit of nationalism and patriotism during this critical situation of Peace Implementation.
