Cape Town: The DHL Stormers are in the United Rugby Championship (URC) playoffs and are taking on Cardiff Rugby in the quarterfinals on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Spectators are advised to note parking arrangements and how to get to DHL Stadium for the game.
DHL Stadium will host its first URC playoff match since 2023, with a crowd of around 30,000 people expected to arrive. The DHL Stormers will need the Faithful behind them in full voice to secure a third URC semifinal appearance next month. Tickets for the game are available through Ticketmaster. Saturday’s game will kick off at 03:30 p.m. with gates opening at 12:30 p.m.
As per the arrangements, a free MyCiTi shuttle service for ticket holders will transport spectators to the stadium from the CTICC, Civic Centre Station and Thibault Square Station. The shuttle will start operating from 12:00 noon and the last bus will leave the Green Point Precinct at 07:30 p.m.
For those driving into the city centre, the City of Cape Town will open its parking areas for ticket holders from 11:30 a.m. The parking bays will be accessible from Hertzog Boulevard incoming and on Civic Avenue. The services will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The parking will close at 09:00 p.m.
Note that the paid parking is also available at the Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and at Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard. Off-street parking is free from 01:00 p.m. on Saturdays and is also available in the CBD.
Cape Town residents and motorists are advised that Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Stephan Way, Vlei Road and Granger Bay Boulevard will be impacted from 06:00a.m. until after the game concludes completely.
United Rugby Championship (URC) is a global club rugby league where 16 teams from five powerhouse nations compete across two hemispheres to become the URC champion. The URC is made up of four teams from Ireland, four from South Africa, four from Wales, two from Italy and two from Scotland.
