South Africa: The Premier of Limpopo Dr Phophi Ramathuba is dedicated to help the people of Limpopo Province get access to superior quality healthcare. The Premier will officially hand over the Maphutha Malatji Hospital Outpatient and Clinical Support Departments in Phalaborwa on Thursday.
The handover ceremony, which is less than 12 hours later, will help the members of the community get access to a superior quality of healthcare. The people have shared that they had been waiting for the inauguration of these departments in the hospital.
The quality of healthcare has been a major concern in many parts of the country, which is why the handover of these departments is a major milestone. The new structures will help the communities around the hospital get access to more facilities.
The building has a combined footprint of 8920 square metres and the areas have been dedicated for several units. The departments have allied health, radiology unit, dental unit, staff occupational health and safety, laboratory, pharmacy, victim support centre and administration entrance.
The building also has a staff cafeteria as well as a wellness centre for the doctors and healthcare officials. The building is fitted with high-tech equipment for the benefit of the people as well as the doctors.
This upgrade is a big milestone that will greatly benefit the Ba-Phalaborwa community in need of quality health services.
The official handover for the outpatient and clinical support departments is scheduled for 19 November 2024 at approximately 10:00
The venue for the handover will be the Maphutha Malatji Hospital, Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality. The Premier had previously accompanied Premier MEC Dieketseng Mashego to the Bolivia Lodge.

The officials discussed ways for enhancing accountability, streamlining operations, and improving patient care across all health facilities in Limpopo. The meeting which was hosted on Wednesday sought to bring all the sections of the administration to a single platform for in depth discussion.
