Botswana: Emeritus Reinsurance Group recently celebrated its 40th Anniversary at a dinner event held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) on the 26th of October, 2023.
Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) Chief Executive Officer Keletsositse Olebile was in attendance as the keynote speaker at the prestigious event.
Emeritus Reinsurance Group, an insurance services provider with Zimbabwean origins, has been operating in Botswana since 2010 under the assistance of the Centre through IFSC certification.
In his keynote address, Olebile expressed his delight in the contribution Emeritus Reinsurance has made towards the economy of Botswana and also the growth of the industry.
The CEO further recognized that the company’s journey was emblematic of what Botswana stands for as an investment destination which encourages and supports forward-thinking business, fostering both a culture of innovation and excellence.
“The success of Emeritus Reinsurance is a testament to Botswana’s robust business environment and the opportunities it offers to organizations that aspire to exceed their own expectations,” said Olebile.
The CEO further applauded Emeritus Reinsurance for its continued growth, indicative of dynamism and adaptability in an ever-changing business environment. Emeritus Reinsurance is a prime example of the spirit of entrepreneurship and strategic thought that drives Botswana’s economic landscape.

In closing his address, the CEO further pledged the Centre’s continued commitment to promoting institutions such as Emeritus as they play a pivotal role in the transformation and diversification of the economy.
Through its services, BITC will continue to lure more businesses to set up shop in Botswana in a relentless bid to grow the country’s economy. BITC aims to foster relationships both old and new and ensure it continues to serve the country well in various industries.
