Cape Town is organising the Kuier at the Castle (creatively written as Kuier @The Castle) market on Saturday, June 29, 2024. It will be a fantastic day and will show the local creativity. It is supported by the Craft and Design Institute and the Castle of Good Hope.
Visitors at the event can explore a variety of lekker local products and will enjoy numerous creative workshops. It is Cape Town CBD’s biggest new monthly market event that will bring together a vibrant mix of creative experiences as well as goods. Along with this, all is set within one of South Africa’s most iconic landmarks.
Kuier @The Castle market will also showcase Creative workshops for kids and adults. Along with this, live music performances will also be staged. Delectable local foods and unique artisanal products will also be presented at the event.
Facilities such as secure free parking within the Castle premises via Darling Street entrance will also be available. To enjoy the Kuier @The Castle market days an entry fee will be charged. From Adults R30 will be charged, from children and pensioners R15 will be charged and for children under age of seven can enter freely at the event.
Kuier @The Castle, is a creative market arranged in Cape Town every month. The market is a great hub to explore local artisan stalls and to try your hand at creative workshops that are suitable for all ages.
The market is a family-friendly shopping and lifestyle event organised at the historic Castle of Good Hope. It offers a multifaceted experience such as local artisanal products, food and drink. It will also offer entertainment curated to cater to the senses and provide a memorable day out for the whole family.
Since its launch, the market has generated more than R600,000 in trade value for local craft artisans and creatives, earlier this year in 2024.
Market Development Programme Manager at the CDI – Fran Stewart said that the market has established itself as a monthly creative destination in the CBD while supporting local entrepreneurs and growing Cape Town’s creative economy.
