“To know where you are going, you need to know where you come from.” the newly crowned Miss South Africa, Ndavi Nokeri had said in the final question and answer round when asked what the most important thing is to keep the unity of our country (South Africa).
Further, in her response, she reminded the panel of judges of the country’s history, stressing the fact that “Being a nation that comes from a history of a past of racial segregation, we know that when we were divided, we were at our weakest,” she said.
She added that as Miss South Africa, she would implore the people of South Africa to stand together and embrace every single culture, gender, race and sexuality as she believes that in the diversity of her nation lies its strength.
The newly crowned Miss South Africa comes from humble roots and has led a simple life, brought up in a village in Tzaneen in Limpopo by a devoted Christian family. She was the family’s youngest child, born in 1999, to pastor parents, who have loved and supported their daughter in all of her ventures.
Nokeri commenced her modelling career at the tender age of five and is multi-lingual, fluent in Afrikaans, Sepedi, Xitsonga and English.
In her long and successful modelling career, Ndavi Nokeri has been associated with many honourable titles, including Miss Ben Vorster High School 2016, which she won in her high school, Hoerskool Ben Vorster High School.
In November 2019, Ndavi Nokeri was crowned the Miss Jozi 2019 at Newton Music Factory in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Ndavi won this title while attending the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, studying commerce and investment management.
In 2020, Ndavi became a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, which is the world’s largest collegiate honour society for graduate and undergraduate students, having ties with over 400 colleges and universities. Nokeri was a member of the University of Pretoria’s faculty of economic management and sciences committee from November 2020 to October 2021
She finished her bachelor’s degree in commerce and investment management in the year 2021, following which the 22-year-old worked as an investment associate at Jozi Angels in Sandton, Johannesburg.
From April 2022 to June 2022, she worked for Allan Gray Proprietary Limited in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa as a certified senior consultant.
Ndavi was a fan favourite since the moment she registered her nomination for Miss South Africa 2022. She won the people’s choice award at the pageant and was subsequently crowned Miss South Africa at SunBet Arena in Time Square, Pretoria, on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
The beauty queen has enjoyed unrelenting support from the public and the distinguished political leaders of the region, who continue to hype the newly crowned beauty queen on social media every chance they get.
