Namibia: FlyNamibia has announced a new flight route between Windhoek to Maun in a small yet important ceremony. The first flight connecting the two nations took flight on Wednesday, with stakeholders from both the organizations in attendance.
The flights will run three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The members of the tourism sector from the Botswana Tourism Organization were present at the launch of the inaugural flight. They also shared some images from the event on their official social media accounts
They said that the event was an important step towards regional integration for Africa as it wil increase connectivity. Tourism Botswana and FlyNamibia are happy with the reception of this new venture and have pledged to continue their collaboration.
Travel between the two countries will become easier and cheaper. Â The new route will also shed light to Botswana’s place as one of the top tourism destinations in Southern Africa.
Direct flights will boost tourism, stimulate the local economy of both Botswana and Namibia.
