Fothergill Island is a place where travellers can come and enjoy a safari and offers luxury lodge on Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe.
Fothergill’s story is a bit complicated as history is shaped by hope, bravery, daring feats and revival. The success story is a tale of one step forward and one step back and then magnificently leaping forward, driven by vision and dreams for a better and bolder future.
Rupert Fothergill’s idea was to establish the company with a mission to serve and set the foundation of Matusadona National Park, where Fothergill is located.
Also, Verney’s Camp is part of Machaba Safaris and is situated in a remote south-eastern part of the Hwange National Park. The camp is on a private concession that is not open to regular Park visitors.
The camp is based on a large open floodplain which is surrounded by mopane and teak forests in which Machaba Safaris’ tents are tucked.
