EXCO will undergo a series of learning programmes that will enhance their knowledge and understanding of broad issues relating to policy, leadership and guidelines. Learning is the first step of capacity building and an effective tool for mitigating abuse of power, ignorance, corruption and maladministration.

Today’s programme will lay a solid foundation for the broader government work to translate into quality, effective and efficient service delivery provision with communities.

In his opening address, Premier Mxolisi Dukwana said, ” We operate in an environment that is constantly changing. Therefore, we must learn, unlearn and relearn. This will require learning to be our closest companion. For us to derive value out of this process, we need to keep an open mind, for instance, to take cognisance of the fact that the best solutions are cultivated through learning, and that demands of us to acknowledge the fact that we as a collective, do not have a monopoly of learning.

EXCO is receiving a presentation from the National Treasury, Free State Special Investigative Unit (SIU), South African Revenue Services (SARS), State Security Agency Free State Directorate (SSA), and Public Service Commission and chairing the session is Free State Provincial Government Director General, Mr Kopung Ralikontsane.
