Free State: Part one of the session in Free State commenced with a commemoration of World Aids day. A candle light service was conducted by Ramafikeng to honour and remember those who have lost their lives to HIV/Aids and show solidarity with people living with HIV/AIDS.
The second session concluded on a high note, with the house enjoying music as part of the entertainment in celebration of Me. Dlamini’s 29 years of enthusiastic service.
Masetjhaba Dlamini served the Department of Social Development, at Leratong Child and Youth Care as a Child and Youth Care worker since 1994. Her resilience and dedication have been commended by her colleagues.
She outlined the roles of a Child and Youth Care worker and urged her fellow employees to have a clear comprehension of their roles. Moreover, they must also know and recognize the characters and behaviours of children and be mindful of the fact that they deserve to be loved.
Above all, she alluded to the importance of having goals for children, particularly those who come from complicated backgrounds. Children need to be nurtured and protected.
Lastly, she pleaded with children to maintain good relationships with child workers since they are practically their Care givers. Me. Ramafikeng, a child and youth care worker, narrated that both she and Me Dlamini have served the Department since 1990s. She emphasized the respect and values she upholds.
With heavy hearts, the children took the platform to relay their massages of support. They spoke highly of her notable character, and they said they would miss her love and care.
Centre manager Ms Skosana applauded the outstanding work she has done in the centre. Wishing her good fortune and prosperity in her future plans.
Pastor Msutu graced the day with the word of God.
Free State Department started the celebrations of World Aids Day through the prayer and candlelight session at the Lemo Mall Office in Bloemfontein.
