Botswana: The Governor General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas Cynthia Alexandria Pratt visited two schools in Francistown. The Governor General is currently on a state visit to Botswana. The visit to the schools is also a part of the trip itinerary.
The schools which received the Governor General included the Francistown Senior Secondary School and Our Lady of the Desert Primary School. The visit was implemented on Thursday, with the administration giving a warm welcome to their guest.

Governor General Cynthia Pratt expressed her appreciation to the Government of Botswana for hosting her. She was taken to places where she was able to meet with children. She encouraged all to be serious with school in order to achieve their goals.
She gave a brief about her background as somebody who started from humble beginnings and was never pulled back by any tenacity.
The Governor General of The Bahamas, Cynthia Alexandra Pratt encouraged learners to venture into Tourism and Agriculture. She said these were some of the areas that have the potential to boost the economy.
In his appreciation, the Minister of Education and Skills Development Hon Dr Douglas Letsholathebe thanked the Governor for her visit and noted that the visit will go a long way in the History of his Ministry. He said students have gained motivation from her background.
The Governor General gave the Student Representative Council at Francistown Senior Secondary School some souvenirs as a way of motivating them as future Leaders.
