Cape Town: The Helderberg Night Market is here in the town and will be observed after six (6) days. The locals have been asked to indulge in a feast for the senses as you explore foods, arts, crafts, gifts and accessories.
Earlier in the last post the organisers encouraged the local vendors to book their spot at the Strand Municipal Office, CNR of Main Road and Fagan Street on Dec 19 & 20, 2024 between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Helderberg Night Market is an annual event that aims to unite the community. It’s objective is to celebrate and indulge in a feast for the senses as visitors explore a diverse array of foods, arts, crafts, gifts and accessories.
Visitors can feel free to dance the night away to their favourite tunes. The event is all set to be a bustling hub of entertainment and music, culinary delight and artisanal treasures for the entire family to enjoy.
Considering this, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Economic Growth – Alderman James Vos said that the markets bring life to the public spaces especially the Night Markets.
They offer affordable goods, economic opportunities and support for local producers. These markets are the vibrant hubs for community spirit and they can’t wait to see the amazing vendors joining them this year in 2024.
Last year also, My Cape Town Helderberg Night Market celebrated the local talents, cuisine and craftsmanship. It was mainly focused on creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.
Moreover, the market aimed to showcase the unique spirit of the Helderberg region. However, the fun-filled creative market anticipates a lovely reflection of community spirit and marks the peak of holiday festivities in the region.
It also showcased live performances by various artists including local musicians, dancers and other artists. The two-day Helderberg Night market represented the community art through the platform.
Alderman James Vos emphasised further the importance of these events in sustaining local traders during the festive season.
He quoted, “When you are having a good time at the festival, the you are also supporting local traders and the economy.”
