A pedestrian was found seriously injured in a Hit & Run accident in the northbound lane of the N2 near Blackburn – KZN. The accident happened in the afternoon hours of Saturday and left the victim in an extremely bad condition.
The body of the victim was found by some passerby who was traveling through the same road. The motorist stopped and alerted the law enforcement agency of KwaZulu Natal during the late night hours of the day.
A motorist called the members of the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Phoenix Operations Centre at approximately 23:18. The person informed the team that he has seen a mangled human body on the road.
After the call, a team of Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched to the and located the decapitated body in the location that the caller had directed them towards. The officers have shared that the body was decapitated and half of his parts were scattered.
Human flesh was strewn on the road for approximately 100 metres with the head of the individual not being found. The clothes of the individual were also found along the road for some distance.
Reaction Officers searched for the deceased’s head without success. It couldn’t not be confirmed if he was run over by multiple vehicles. A pair of navy pants which has been pictured in a post from the Reaction Unit South Africa was found neatly draped over a metal barrier.
This garment was not tattered or torn in the accident. The identity of the deceased was not immediately established. The investigation for the incident has been opened and the members of the community have also reacted to the idea.
The officials have shared that the officials have shared that they have not gotten any closer to finding the suspect for the victim. The people of the country, on the other hand have shared that they are heartbroken that a life was lost in this manner.
