Inanda- KZN: A 19-year-old teenager who was allegedly kidnapped by four men jumped out of a moving vehicle in an attempt to escape herself from four men who kidnapped her in Inanda on Sunday night.

Inanda- KZN: A 19-year-old teenager who was allegedly kidnapped by four men jumped out of a moving vehicle in an attempt to escape herself from four men who kidnapped her in Inanda on Sunday night.

As per the information, the teenager was on her way to meet her friend when four unknown occupants of a white VW Polo confronted her. One person allegedly produced a firearm and was forced into the car.

The four suspects were transporting her to an unknown place when she managed to open the door of the car and jump out from the moving vehicle and flee into a bush.

After some time, she left the bush and walked to the road, where she flagged down a passing vehicle. She explained the whole scenario to the driver of the car, who offered her a lift and dropped her in Ntombe – KZN. The man asked her to find her own way back home.

Then, the teenage girl contacted one of the pedestrians who contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for help. The reaction Unit Team arrived at the location at approximately 23:48. Officed questioned the girl, who stated that she had her family members’ numbers in her phone, but her mobile battery had died while she was being driven around by her kidnappers.

Then, the RUSA team charged her phone and took her aunt’s contact number. The whole team tried their best to contact her family, who started research on her when she failed to return home. The victim sustained bruises to her arms and legs.

The teenage girl was reunited with her family, who arrived in Verulam – KZN, shortly thereafter.
