Zambia: The Isoka Town Council has announced that they will be launching a Block-Making Project for the workers of the town. The officials have shared that the members of the community will be receiving working for the project.

The leaders of the Town council believe that the project will help in boosting the economy of the nation. The officials announced that the launch was hosted after the procurement of the making machine.

The cost of the machine was K150,000 using the locally generated resources. The leaders of the community shared the details and significance of the project for the people.

Isoka Town Council Secretary Brian Musonda said the council has initiated a project to start the work in a block-making machine. The aim of the project is to manufacture and supply construction materials such as blocks and pavers to contractors, developers, and other stakeholders in the region.

Furthermore, Musonda stated that the initiative is driven by the increasing demand for construction materials in Isoka and other neighbouring districts. The officials have shared that the project will help in generating income and revenue for the nation.

“By tapping into this demand, the local authority intends to generate revenue, enhancing its financial sustainability and contribute to the local economy,” he said.

The officials have shared that the members of the community will be able to earn through the project significantly. The council will not only increase its revenue but also create job opportunities for local residents involved in the manufacturing process.

He said when the project becomes fully operational, the block-making machine is expected to produce at least 1,000 blocks daily. He said that ensuring a steady supply of high-quality construction materials to meet the growing needs of the community.

Musonda further explained that the project would play an important role in infrastructure development. The production for the project will start by September 2024.

He said that the initiative would support the council’s efforts to achieve long-term financial stability. At the same time, the project will foster local economic growth through job creation and improved infrastructure.
