Kenya Ports Authority claims first place at Mombasa International ASK Show

The Mombasa International ASK Show continues to provide an important focal point for sharing critical knowledge in agriculture and trade by ensuring exhibitors showcase new and emerging innovations, as well as advanced technologies within Mombasa City County environs.

Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) proved themselves again by triumphing the honour at Mombasa International ASK Show. The Authority has registered its remarkable success by claiming first place in nine categories and second in two others.

KPA was recognized for having the best stand in the considerable categories such as:

  • Blue Economy Innovations and Inventions
  • Viable Transport Services Initiatives
  • Information Technology and Communication Systems
  • Community Project Support
  • Environmental Quality Standards Application
  • Non-Agricultural Based Statutory Board
  • International Trade and Exports Strategies
  • Large Trade (commercial and industrial)
  • Youth Activities, Empowerment and Capacity Building.

Additionally, the Authority secured the second place in the categories for Promoting National Cohesion and Integration Development, also for the Best (government stand) Interpreting the Current Show Theme.

Mombasa International ASK Show welcomed the Chairman of Kenya Ports Authority – Benjamin Tayari and Managing Director – Captain William Ruto. The show was officially opened by the Deputy President – Rigathi Gachagua.

Mombasa International ASK Show is a journey of agricultural excellence and trade innovation in collaboration with the Agricultural Society of Kenya. The Mombasa Branch Chairman welcomes the residents of Coastal Kenya to 2024 Show.

The event began on Wednesday, September 04, 2024 and will be observed continuously till Sunday, September 08, 2024 at the Mkomani Showground.

The Coastal Show expects to attract over 300 global and local Exhibitors from sectors such as Agriculture, Manufacturing, Housing, Small and Medium Enterprises, Banking, Public and Private Sector Institutions, Hospitality, Education, with a host of new technologies and innovations on display.

The Society through annual Events will continue to accentuate the importance of adopting climate smart initiatives in agriculture and trade in line with the theme of the Show “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth”.
