Kenya hosted the 10th graduation ceremony of the Kenya Red Cross Training Institute (KRCTI). The event was hosted on Friday with several healthcare stakeholders of Kenya in attendance.
186 youngsters from across Kenya graduated in paramedicine, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Community Health Assistance. The attendants of the event congratulated all the graduates for their accomplishment.
Principal Secretary State Department for Public Health and Professional Mary Muthoni was also present at the graduation ceremony. She highlighted the government’s commitment to support and develop emergency healthcare in Kenya.
She took the opportunity to laud the new graduates for their hard work and dedication. The graduates of the Kenya Red Cross Training Institute will help in ensuring that people are not left without assistance in cases of emergency.
The training programmes that the graduates sign up with Kenya Red Cross Training Institute offer a variety of opportunities. The Principal Secretary said that the emergency Medical Services Personnel have a critical role to play in Primary Health Care.

PS Mary Muthoni announced that the government wants to support the EMS professionals during their career. The Ministry representative said that the government will create a Scheme of Service and a governing body to uphold standards.
They have also pledged to constantly support the progress of the EMS professionals career.
The goal of the government is to make sure that the professionals within emergency healthcare are held to the highest standards. The government has promised to help the EMS sector grow and improve.
