Kenya: Kenya Academy of Sports (KAS) CEO Dr Doreen Odhiambo has been working to enter a collaboration with Scholarbook. He headed an Introductory meeting between the Representatives of the Ministry and officials from Scholarbook.
The Kenyan Ministry of Sports wants to enter into a collaboration with the Germany based Sports entity. The aim of the partnerships is to work towards youth sports empowerment in the country.
The meeting of the ministry representatives and the Scholarbook was hosted on Tuesday During the interaction, the Kenya Academy of Sports (KAS) CEO talked about the significance of the partnership.
He advocated for the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Kenyan Government and the German sports company. The MoU would be signed through the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports on behalf of the Kenyan administration.
Further, the CEO also discussed the importance of crafting a comprehensive concept. The MoU and the crafting is significant in light of the objectives and vision behind the proposed scholarship program.
The CEO noted that this MOU will serve as an important event for the Kenya-Scholarbook partnership. He added that it would be important in ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship between the parties.
The partnership will further allow progress and development in the sports sector of Kenya.
“This program help in empowering young sports persons across Kenya. The initiative will by provide them opportunities to develop their skills and excel in their respective disciplines,” she added.
The two organizations under the leadership of Dr Doreen Odhiambo discussed the various ideas and plans for the upcoming partnership.
Amidst the exchange of ideas and plans for collaboration, both parties recognized the transformative potential of their partnership. Further, they were committed to realizing shared goals of country and the organization.
The meeting is expected to become the beginning of a journey towards a brighter future for Kenyan sports. The stakeholders state that the collaboration will be guided by a shared commitment to excellence and a passion for empowering the next generation of athletes.
