Kenya: Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba met the beauties of Kenya participating in global pageants being held in West Africa and Asia. During the meeting, the Cabinet Secretary Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports was accompanied by Sports Permanent Secretary Peter Tum.

CS Namwamba is dedicated to promoting creative economy. Under this banner, the country has hosted several pageants in 2023.

The officials of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, sports and the creative Economy shared the images from the meeting on Facebook. The photos showed the leadership of the ministry, interacting with the ladies and encouraging them.

The winning beauties of these pageants are now ready to represent their country in the rest of the world.

Prudence Tendwa and Cynthia Kimathi, winners of the Miss/Mrs Heritage Kenya 2023 titles, will fly the Kenyan flag in Bangkok, Thailand. Meanwhile, Pretty Narotso, crowned Miss Africa Golden Kenya 2023, will be representing Kenya in Asaba, Nigeria.

The pageant will start on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Before the ladies leave for their respective destinations, Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba met them. He and his team encouraged the ladies to make the country proud.

While addressing them, CS Ababu said he was honoured to flag off the models set to represent the country on an international stage. He also noted that these models embody the dedication and talents that we have in our country.

CS Namwamba reminded the ladies of their responsibility while representing Kenya in global competitions. He also asked them to use the platform to promote the country.

The Permanent Secretary of Sports, Peter Tum, rallied the models for their hard work and persistence, wishing them success, saying: “May you stand as a proof of Kenya’s excellence on the world stage. We are always available as a ministry to support and to cheer you up.”

On the other hand, the ladies assured CS Ababu Namwamba that they would deliver a good performance during the competition. They were thankful for the support CS Namwamba offered to them.
