Kenya: Creative Youngsters from Kenya are ready to represent their country in the 37th edition of the SurajKund International Mela. The event is being hosted in the Indian city of Faridabad for two weeks, starting February 2 to February 18.
The event attracts creatives from all over the world to showcase their talent and unique abilities. Participants will come from different countries and cultures.
The youngsters of Kenya are happy to participate in the event on behalf of their country and showcase their culture to an international audience.
The Kenya Cultural Centre Chief Executive Officer, Michael Pundo today led the flagging off of a group of talented artists for the second participation in the 37th SurajKund International Mela, an exhibition of crafts
SurajKund, renowned as the province’s largest exhibition of creative works, has promised an immersive experience with over 50 countries participating.
For Kenya, this is more than a showcase of crafts. it is a canvas for storytelling, a stage for cultural dialogue.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports in collaboration with the Indian government, have sponsored a group of 20 creatives, performing art, textile and fine art for a two-week extravaganza.
The collaboration isn’t just about exhibiting their crafts, It also symbolizes the harmonious blend of nations through the universal language of Creative works.
Mr. Pundo alluded the collaborative spirit between Kenya and India noting that it will transform the exhibition into a melting pot of ideas, fostering connections that transcended language barriers.
Kenya and India have shared a deep and strong diplomatic bond with each other. Recently, a delegation of students from Kenya travelled to India for a two week exchange programme.
During the exchange initiative, the students got the opportunity to understand and learn about the cultural and traditional diversity of India. As per the authorities of both the nation, the programme aimed to bring mutually beneficial development for citizens of both the nations.
