Africa Sports Ventures Group announced Sprinter Letsile Tebogo of Botswana as the Winner of the relaunched award. The announcement was made on Wednesday with the Botswanan athlete receiving a plethora of support for her performance.
Africa Sports Ventures Group is now in charge of the rebranded African Athlete of the Month Award. They have chosen the athlete after a rigorous selection process. The Botswanan athlete was one of the nominees of the award, chosen for her remarkable performance on the field.
The organization further stated that supporters and fans across the world voted for the athlete on the ASVG WhatsApp Channel. With the help of the votes Tebogo successfully surpassed Mohamed Salah (Mo Salah) who played in the Egypt and the English Premier League’s Liverpool FC. She also surpassed Nigerian Hurdler Tobi Amusan in number of votes.
The team at African Sports Ventures Group has extended their heartfelt delight and congratulated Letsile Tebogo. He was appreciated for his outstanding and consistent set of inspirational performances.
His remarkable performances on the field includes a new World Record which he created in the 300 Meters. Letsile Tebogo has also been recognized for setting a Personal Best in the 400 meters. He is also credited for achieving a 2024 world leading time in the 200 meters.

The Award are conducted through a public voting poll that runs from the 1st to the 10th of each month. The judges also play an important role in the election of each month’s winners. The winner announced on the 11th based on public votes and internal criteria.
