Zambia: Luapula Province Education Officer (PEO) Grace Sinkolongo has urged the teachers in the province to refrain from examination malpractices. The call was made ahead of the nation’s final exams for the 2024 session.
The students in the province have started their preparation for the final exams. The education department of the province acknowledges that malpractice is extremely harmful for the students.
The officials have shared that with exam malpractice, the students can not learn much and aree likely to struggle further into their career. The provincial education stakeholders have thus urged the members of the country to make sure that these practices are not supported.
The various school administrations around the area are a part of the organization. The leaders have shared that the exams would be conducted in a more concise and fair manner.

Luapula Province Education Officer Sinkolongo says teachers who will be found indulging in any form of examination malpractices risk being dismissed from the service. The announcement came in light of the growing incidents of education malpractice in the province’s schools.
The education department of Luapula Province have been working hard to ensure smooth examination season. At the same time, they have also been in touch with the schools of the province discussing their role in ensuring smooth operations
The PEO says enough warnings have been issued to all the teachers involved in administering the examinations adding that any culprit will not therefore be treated kindly.
Luapula Province Education Officer Sinkolongo further said the District Education Board Secretaries (DEBS) and her office have also conducted series of meetings with the teachers to remind them about the code of ethics, the Teaching Professional Act and other laws that do not allow them to engage in the examination malpractices
