Zambia, Lusaka: Thirty-year-old Victor Kalasa, resident of Lusaka, died on December 25 ahead of Christmas Celebrations. As per the reports, he died on the spot at an entertainment joint in Lusaka’s Kabwata area after being pushed by his drunk colleagues who were fighting as he tried to separate them on Christmas afternoon.
Kabwata Police officers have just deposited Kalasa’s body in the University Teaching Hospital. Police in Lusaka are hunting for the yet to be identified drunk friends of 30-year old Victor Kalasa, who caused his death at a bar in Kabwata.
According to the Lusaka Police statement, Kalasa fell and died on the spot after being pushed by his drunk friends, whom he tried to separate as they were fighting.
Residents are in deep shock and sad as it was a Christmas celebration, and this kind of incident can break someone. One of the locals of Lusaka also said that due to this crime, people avoid going out during the festive season.
“I know I can never ever escape death…But this is one of the reasons I am always indoors when people are too excited….. May His Young Soul Rest In Peace,” said locals.
Moreover, people are not blaming any of the criminals. They are just blaming the situation and the place. They are suggesting to each other that they should be in a safe place.
“Sad end. Life is a matter of daily choices; I choose to be in a safe place in this time of unnecessary seasonal excitement,” said another user.
The government of Lusaka has appealed to the public that they should go to the church on December 26 and be with the family of the victim, as this is a sad moment in their life.
“Let’s be going to church on Christmas and be with family. Rip kalasa,” said MP of Lusaka.
