Botswana: Mahalapye District Council is hosting a Christmas-themed special lunch for the staff members of the organisation at the Mahalapye Community Hall on Wednesday 21 December.
Entry for all the attendees of the Christmas festivities will be free and the gates of the venue will open at 14:00 Hours.
The organizers of the event have shared the details about the celebration on their social media. The employees will have the opportunity to celebrate the festival with their work colleagues and family before going on vacation.
The Council has invited all members of the staff to register with the Human Resource Department to attend. The event is open for all members of the Council.
The food will be available at the event for all the attendees and the employees will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of food and entertainment. The MDC promises that they will execute this employee lunch in the style of traditional chiristmas.
Accordingly, the organizers have arranged for Braai. Attendants have to contribute an amount of P50 for the food. Note that it is one of the most popular forms of cuisine in the Southern African region.
Further, the employees will also have to contribute an amount of P100 for Christmas gift exchange, which will also be a part of the Christmas lunch.
The members of the staff at the District Council have expressed their delight and appreciation for the organizers. Some members of the staff have shared their excitement for the Christmas dinner through their social media.
Appreciating their work family, some employees shared heartfelt comments. One comment read that “Mahalapye District is like a second home to them. One of the comments read: MDC is home away from home, we don’t dump each other we are the same people.
Some other commenters revealed that they were looking forward to being at the Community Hall for the Christmas lunch.
