Botswana: The Kweneng Regional Football Association has concluded the 24th week of their Division One games. Majweng SC continues to be the top-performing team of the tournament and is the only team among the sixteen contenders that has not only lost any of the matches.
The team has played only 23 matches in the tournament and won seventeen of those games. The talent and hard work of the team is apparent in the fact that they are the only team in the 2023-24 tournament to hold the top spot for more than ten weeks.
In the Week 24 of the tournament, the team faced Kumakwane United and won the match with a two goal lead. Mejweng restricted their opponent to a nil score on their side.
In the weekly ranks, the team holds a humongous, 57 points. The second highest ranking team has snatched their spot in the weekly ranks with a 2 goal victory in the first match of the weekend and a devastating five goal victory in the second.
The second match, where the Dintorokong team had been rescheduled from the previous week as the teams were unable to play due to a waterlogged pitch.
In the first match, the team faced the Blackburn Callies and defeated them 3-1. In the second match, Matebejana restricted their opponents to no score while they pushed 5 goals past the Dintorokong FC.
Walker XI, which was a rank higher in week 23 has slipped back to number three this week. Meanwhile, they secured a spectacular 3-goal victory against their opponents, the Mega Tornado.
