South Africa A 52-year-old man was found dead in his home during a wellness check by his girlfriend. The girlfriend has shared that the she found the dead man in his house in Inanda KZN on June 5.
The girlfriend informed the Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) about her discovery. The officers have shared that they were called out to a residence in White city near Inanda – KZN.
The officials have shared that they got to the house at approximately 06:24 after the deceased’s girlfriend made the discovery. When the officers reached, RUSA Paramedics were directed to a bedroom where the male was found lying on his bed.
The officers said that they found adhesive tape wrapped around his neck and blood was found on his fingertips & nails. The officers have shared that they found some lengths of buff tape located in different parts of the home.
Further, the officers said that some contained traces of blood. The officers also found a broken beer bottle in one of the bedrooms in the house where the man was living.
The victim’s girlfriend informed Reaction Officers that she was chatting on WhatsApp with him yesterday afternoon. Their conversation has suddenly came to an end at approximately 20:00 hours.
She tried to call her boyfriend, but his phone went unanswered. She decided to conduct a wellness check in the morning after and on arrival at the residence found the security gate and front door unlocked. She entered the house and discovered his lifeless body.
The deceased’s elderly mother was in the house with him at the time of the alleged death but she has a medical history of Dementia. The elderly woman is also allegedly hard of hearing and allegedly has no recollection of events that unfolded.
Investigations into his death are underway. The officers have suggested that they suspect some foul play in the death of the 52 year old.
