South Africa: A marijuana dealer was shot multiple times by four unidentified individuals at his residence. The incident took place in the late hours of Friday in Ntombe – KwaZulu Natal. Following the attack, the victim immediately called the Reaction Unit South Africa and called for help.
As per reports, the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 10:07 PM and met the victim.
The officers of the Law enforcement organisation said that the victim was a 47-year-old man who was wounded in the attempted robbery. The suspects shot the marijuana dealer three times before they fled.
After RUSA reached the scene of the crime, they talked to the victim, who told them that he sells Marijuana and alcohol from his home. According to the victim, four unknown males arrived at his residence on Friday and asked him to allow them into the house.
The victim refused to comply with the suspects’ demands, after which they fired at the victim. The 47-year-old was shot two times in his back and once in his hand. He informed the Reaction Unit.
The team has started the investigation into the incident, while they have not arrested anyone in connection with the shooting.
The reaction unit has shared the images from the crime scene and found three spent bullet shells on the ground at the victim’s house. The victim currently in a stable condition and getting treated for his wounds at the hospital.
Robbery and shooting are not new to KwaZulu Natal. The people are seeing many criminal activities in their communities recently, most near the holiday season. They are disappointed with the authorities as they are not able to manage the situation. A social media user shared that they are happy the victim has survived the attack.
Social media users asked why so many people in the region have unregistered guns. One of the users said, so much of unlicensed guns out there. Cant wait for these politicians in charge to get a few hits. Another user asked, “Where are these guns coming from?”
