Open Heart surgeries are the treatment done to resolve heart problems considering heart failure, congenital heart defects, arrhythmias, aneurysms and coronary artery disease.

The procedure was started by the surgeon by making cuts through the breastbone and spreading the ribcage to have access to the heart. Open-heart surgery may include CABG which is also known as bypass surgery, heart transplant and valve replacement.

Open heart surgery is a reliable way for surgeons to perform heart surgery. The risk of complications is greater if a person is suffering from health problems such as Diabetes or Obesity.

Lung conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) raise the risk of the surgery being done wrong. Also, people who smoke are more prone to surgical and post-surgical issues.
