Zambia: A Zambian person of goodwill based in Germany, has partnered with his Zambian friends to donate mattresses and lotion for albinos students. The donation was received by the students at Mbulu Special School in Mbala, to support the struggle of the students.
The students struggling with Albinism need better support to deal with their medical skin condition. The people with Albinism are more prone to skin infections and cancers due to low melanin in their bodies.
Accordingly it is very important for the people struggling with this condition to exercise extra caution to prevent their skin from becoming damaged. The Germany based Zambian who has extended this donation to the Mbulu Special School students has been identified as Enoch Chota
He and his friends donated 21 single mattresses to the school and some sun screen lotion for albinos worth thousands of Kwacha.
According to the Zambia News and Information Service, the items were donated to the school by Sydney Pensulo. Pensulo is the Reverend in Charge of Mbala Union Baptist Church.
Rev Pensulo has since commended his colleagues for working together to make contributions to procure items for the school.
He said the gesture shows the heart his friends have in assisting pupils at the special school.
And Mbala District Education Standard Officer, (DEBS), Joseph Kapepo who received the items on behalf of the school thanked Mr Chota and his friends for the donation.
Mr Kapepo has since appealed to other well-wishers to come on board andsupport the school in order to alleviate the problems that the pupils at the special school are facing.
Meanwhile, one of the pupils, Roselinda Kalumba commended Mr Chota and his friends for their generosity of procuring the assorted items for pupils at the learning institution.
She said the mattresses will help to make the pupils sleep comfortably while the special lotions will able to makethem feel at eaase especially that the hot season is around the corner.
