Zimbabwe: The Search for the Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024 ends as the registrations are now officially closed by the organizers. The officials have wrapped up the auditions now and are waiting for the interviews to be conducted now.
The national director of the pageant contest – Tendai Hunda has revealed about the closure at the auditions which were held at Rainbow Towers in Harare, last weekend.
Reportedly, the former beauty queen – Hunda said that she was glad to see the progress of the pageant. She mentioned that they had done auditions in Mutare, Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru, and Masvingo.
Hunda added to her statement that she is happy with the quality of girls that they have received. She informed that they have closed the registration now and what is left are the interviews from the diaspora models, which will be completed by this Tuesday.
After that they will compile the list of the girls who will then vote online to get qualified for the finale. “This year 20 girls will be voted for the finale,” confirmed Hunda.
Hunda enlightened that they are still deciding on 12 or 15 girls to walk on the ramp but only 20 qualified beauties will be availed to the public, next week, through voting process.
Various judges will be included during the auditions, from the designers and modeling experts to lifestyle coaches who helped the best girls with the qualities to represent Zimbabwe.
The National Director highlighted that this year the competition is very strict and will consider the quality of the contestants.
“I am very confident that this year the competition is tight because of the quality of girls that turned up at the auditions,” said Tendai Hunda.
Moreover, it seems that they have been waiting for this moment as they have been thoroughly preparing and equipping themselves.
Tendai Hunda said that this year, the pageant contest is decided to be held on May 18, 2024, at Harare’s Hippodrome in Braeside.
She confirmed that her team has started the preparation for the pageant and of course this year it is bigger and better. “We have a lot of surprises, soon after the finalists are revealed, we are going to announce the roadmap to Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024,” stated Tendai Hunda.
