Zimbabwe: The Great Zimbabwe Rally was observed in Masvingo on March 22, 2024 with a host of motor bikers with an expectation to grace the event across the country and the regional areas including Namibia, Zambia, South Africa and others.
Several activities of rally were showcased such as mass ride, street event and slow ride amongst many other motorcycling games.
Considering the rally, the president of Titanium Motorcycle Club – Natasha Mutsvairo said that the Great Zimbabwe rally is an annual event that attracts people from every corner of the region and the world.
Mustvairo added, “We have a biking a biking rally till Sunday in Masvingo. It is an annual rally that sees and welcomes riders from Zimbabwe and in the regions we are hosting it.”
The theme for the event for this year is ‘Ride, Inspire, Empower, Celebrating Women.’ “As part of our drive we shall be donating to Alpha Cottages and we have been welcoming anyone who intends to partners us,” mentioned president Mutsvairo.
Many people have also made donations which came in many forms such as disposable pads, underwear and socks for both girls and boys and some food stuff.
Upon which the president of Motorcycle Club stated, “Our aim is to build confidence in our wards and ensure that they do not have to worry about the little things as it is our way of helping.”
The team of Titanium Motorcycle Club also takes hygiene packs in old handbags, bags and as long as the creativity is encouraged, it also includes roll on, soap and lotion and other items that can be donated. The charity donations have also impacted the bikers and made it their favorite.
The Charity Ambassador – Chenge Makawa has said that it is helping in reflecting their image against the popular opinion that the riders are violent and rowdy.
Makawa added, “As bikers we love to spread the love and there is a misconception that we are rowdy, rude and just like racing around. On top of that they think that we are not morally good or upright.”
“With our charity events we give full love to our community, in every rally a charity event is held to give something as a token of love to the less fortunate,” said Ambassador Makawa.
She highlighted that they are doing a sanitary and underwear drive for the girl and boy child. They thought of having the boy covered as well as they don’t want to overlook the boy child.
“So our charity runs define who we are and we are looking forward to going beyond the country in the future as a motorcycle club,” said the Charity Ambassador.
