Zambia: The construction of road infrastructure is starting in the Lusaka Central. The Member of Parliament of the region, Mulambo Haimbe has announced that the construction process will start on Wednesday, December 20.
The Katambalale Market, in Bauleni, Kabulonga Ward 19 will benefit from the road reconstruction project.
Lusaka Central Member of Parliament Mulambo Haimbe added that several partnering government organizations will help in the reconstruction project.
“The project will be undertaken with collaboration of partnering organizations such as the Zambia Air Force (ZAF).” He claimed. Further, the Member of Parliament revealed the various steps involved in the reconstruction project.
MP Haimbe is also Minister of Justice in the government of Zambia. He is responsible not only for the development of his parliamentary constituency, Lusaka Central, but also has jurisdiction over the legal and judicial asspects of the country.
He recently visited the market where the road construction will start on Wednesday and examined the area. During his tour, The Minister said, “The expansion of the road from four meters to about seven meters aims to improve accessibility and convenience to residents and businesses in the area.”
He explained that the first phase of the initiative will focus on graveling the road, replacing unstable materials with durable gravel that will be compacted for longevity.
The government wants to construct high quality of roads and other infrastructure for the people of the region. The Minister of Justice reaffirmed that commitment on behalf of the administration n.

“I want to acknowledge the support from the Zambia Air Force (ZAF), who have offered to bring 1,000 tonnes of gravel to the site,” said Mr Haimbe.
Emphasizing the significance of the project, Mr Mulambo expressed optimism about delivering an early New Year’s present to the community.
