Nigerian Model – Nwajagu Samuel emerged as the winner of Mister International 2024 in Thailand. He has become the first African to win the competition.
This year’s Mister International 2024 was the 16th edition of the pageant competition. It was held at the Island Hall, Fashion Island in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Last pageant winner Kim Thitisan Goodburn of Thailand crowned Nwajagu Samuel of Nigeria as his successor at the end of the event. This is happening for the first time in history of the pageant that a Nigerian and an African has won the title of Mister International.
Notably, The Mister International 2024, Thailand pageant contest welcomed 47 entries from all across the world.
Earlier in July 2024, Nwajagu Samuel was crowned as Mister International Nigeria, after which qualified for the competition, to compete at global level in Thailand.
Reportedly, from Asia, Nwajagu, Nguyen Manh Lan of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto of Indonesia became the top finalists.
But what makes Samuel unique from others that made him win this title of Mister International:
- The first Black winner
Nwajagu Samuel is the first Black man and an African who has won the Mister International title since the pageant contest began 16 years ago.
- Represents Nigeria
Samuel represented Nigeria and competed against 46 other contestants from around the world.
- New Titleholder
Samuel from Nigeria succeeded Kim Goodburn from Thailand who was the winner of Mister International 2023.
- Made History for Africa
His win marks a significant moment for Africa in the Mister International competition that spotlighted the continent for the first time in its history.
- Still in his Twenties
The Nigerian contestant is a great inspiration for youngsters. Samuel is still 23 years old and is one of the younger winners of the Mister International pageant title.
- Good Physique and Height
Samuel stands tall 6’3”. His tall height and good physique worked as a bonus for him and earned him the Best in Swimwear award during the competition.
- Certified Engineer
Nwajagu Samuel holds the bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and works as a software engineer. This showcases balance between academics and career.
