Nigeria: Management of King Amachree Sports Academy (KASA) visited Onengiyeofori George at his office in Buguma City. The Executive Chairman of the Asari Toru Local Government Area hosted the representatives on Tuesday.
KASA is a bilingual sporting and academic institution owned and financed by Chief Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, the Edi Abali of Kalabari. They met the Chairman of the Asari Toru LGA to talk about his support and partnership.
The aim of the collaboration is to bring the Local Government Area to the sporting limelight. The event was attended by:

Booth, the high-level officials took time to reel out the sporting lessons offered in the School, including Chess, Scrabble, Swimming, Football, Basketball, Tennis, and many others, alongside full academic work.
The cooperation seeking the collaboration and support of the council in partnering with the Institution to unearth hidden sporting talents. The organization also sought the support of the LGA in developing sons and daughters of Kalabari in bilingual education.
The initiative will further enhance the image and reputation of the Kalabari People. They both noted in their separate speeches that their mission is to produce exceptional scholars and outstanding athletes.
The Executive Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Onengiyeofori George, was happy to receive the principal and Vice Principal of KASA. Further, he welcomed their request with open arms while also informing them of similar programmes his administration has lined up for sports development in the coming months.
He expressed his alignment with Nelson Mandela that the only way to fight poverty is through education, and went on to commend the Principal for her efforts in changing the narrative of the Kalabari People from being associated with gunrunning, militancy and other vices to academic and sporting superstars.
