Dominica: The Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit celebrated International Men’s Day, on November 19. He celebrated the men of Dominica and the rest of the world through a social media post.
Men in the form of fathers, sons, brothers and mentors are playing a very important role in leading the country towards a better future. The people Dominica join the rest of the world to commemorate the occasion every year and highlight men for their hardwork.
The PM said that he is proud of the male population of Dominica and would work to highlight their hardwork of the people. The International Men’s Day is celebrated in several parts of the world, and serves as a platform for the nations and communities to highlight the male population, who are often overlooked in their contributions.
Dominica’s commemoration of the day seeks to ensure that they understand the struggles and dedication of these men. The Prime Minister highlighted that the people’s dedication to their family, community and country is what helps in ensuring development.
PM Skerrit highlighted that the men inspire their nation with the hardwork that they continue to do for their families and their communities. He was proud to participate in the celebration that honored the male population in Dominica.
Dr Roosevelt Skerrit hoped that the people of the country can continue to learn from one another and use their experiences for the betterment of Dominica. The Prime Minister added that “As we honour you, let us also reflect on the power of your example.”
He has urged the men of the country to continue to mentor, uplift and build a Dominica that all the people of the country can be proud of. He said that the role of the people in national development is important. The impact that the men’s hardwork leaves on the country would last beyond years
