St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew as a Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), continued his high-level regional engagements with a visit to Barbados, on Friday, February 20, 2026. There he met with the Prime Minister of Barbados – Mia Amor Mottley.
Reportedly, this bilateral meeting took place on a significant day in Barbados, according to their democratic calendar. Opening of the First Session of Parliament followed the recent General Elections of the nation.
Despite of so many demands due to the historic occasion, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley made time to engage with Prime Minister Drew in substantive discussions. The meeting was held prior to the ceremonial proceedings.
Prime Minister Drew also attended the Opening of Parliament and underscored the strong bonds of solidarity among CARICOM member states and the commitment of federation. It enhanced collaborative regional leadership during his tenure as Chairman.
This engagement reflected the ongoing emphasis of Chairman Drew on face-to-face consultations with regional counterparts.it reinforced a shared vision for a stronger and more unified Caribbean Community at a pivotal time in global affairs.
