South Africa: The South Africa Mens (Proteas) ‘A’ team is getting ready for a face off with the A team of Sri Lanka in an inbound tour. The domestic teams of both the nations will be travelling to the North West Province of South Africa for the first part of the tour.
The officials have shared that the members of the two teams will be facing each other in a series of friendly matches. The first three matches of the series will be One Day Matches. The next two matches will be 4 day according to the team will be 4 day domestic matches.
The first of the one day matches will be hosted for the members of the community are scheduled for August 31 at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom. The match will start on the weekend at 10:00 Hours.
The next match of the one-day series will be hosted two days later, on September 2 at the same venue and time. The final one-day match between South Africa and Sri Lanka will be hosted another two days later on September 4.
Later in the first half of the month, the two teams will meet for two four day matches in Kimberly. The first of the two matches will be hosted from September 8 and conclude on September 11. The first match will be hosted at the Kimberly Oval
The second 4-day match will start on September 15 and conclude on September 18 which will be held at Willowmoor Park in Benoni. The officials have shared that the team is excited to face their Sri Lankan friends in the series of matches.
The fans of the Proteas have extended their best wishes to the team for their performance in the organization. The Proteas are yet to announce their playing squad for the series of matches. The Proteas A team has won four of the five matches which they played previously.
On the other hand, the Sri Lanka A Team is not that far behind with three wins under their belt. The fans believe that the clash between the two teams will be interesting to watch.
